I have a few little pictures from the summer of 2001'that would blow your mind. Before cars and all that mess it was the most serene, non-commercial nestled in the foothills. A scattering of shops, a couple really great cafes, some rooftop movies, herbs growing along the side of the walkways, waterfalls without buildings around were in abundance, a bookshop with a 2 for 1 trade, a local guide ๐ fondly referred to as "Shanti"( named after the little cafe and the owner that looked after it) that seem to belong to everyone, a lot less stuff. I just about cried when I saw the river and the waterfall route. A true paradise lost. ๐ญ ๐
