    I was once denied entry into France to go back to London
    It was at a border of Germany & France
    It was at 4.00 in the morning at a station without roof & it was raining cats & dogs
    My travelling companion was 1/4 French so was fluent in French
    After arguing for 1/2 hour, they finally gave me a 24 hour pass to catch my ferry back to England
    I do not know what would have happened if my companion did not argue with on my behalf
    That was in 1986 and I have been to France ever since

    Out of respect for locals in a foreign country you should be wearing mask in crowded areas especially on train.

    Also you keep pushing your luck with visa free runs. You will definitely get refused entry next time you try it as your passport is flagged.

    i think maybe because they suspicious of fugitive, thats the reason why they want you back to stay in your country first. a fugitive that come back to his own country could never go out anymore.

    Malaysia is not even a transit point for me in the airport. Thailand is much better in every respect.

    Man, God was with you! The last I read was unvaxed had to quarantine for 5 days when coming to Malaysia. Did they drop the quarantine mandate?

    Ey bro, you might not be aware but I think the issue is because thailand just legalize weed recently and malaysia is super jumpy as a neighbour, as a result any thing they deem suspicious activity they will halt for further investigation. Unfortunately base on your record they flag you down because they don't really recognize food and travel bloggers as a job, since a lot of others that is traveling illegally or doing suspicious activity also use this as a disguise. That's the reason why they ask for bank statement in my opinion.

    They are more likely expecting travelers that hop around different countries within a year would be staying one place like two weeks to a month and doesn't go back and fourth in an out of country for several months at a time because they fit those profile as a potential mule for illegal activities. Hence that's the reason why they told you that your passport is not "clean".

    Country you will need to be aware of if you are hopping around asia that would kinda flag you as not clean is "Malaysia, Singapore, China" ….. in general.

    Authorities everywhere have this policy of randomly picking on person they encountered. They actually don't have an issue about you entering Malaysia but this policy is their SOP. Just your unlucky day.

    Sorry about the bad experince at the immigration. I think there alot of backpackers who came to Malaysia without enough money to spend and some of them will beg for money on the street here. Your attire also one of the reason as you looked like a backpacker That is why the immigration office asked to see your bank account. I hope you will have an enjoyable time here.

    Usually our immigration are quite reasonable… been to china after i been several country in europe… i was suspected as spy. I show them video … n photo and show them my screenshot fb. Then they ask me to open my fb.hahaha ..i thinking u get question because they are a lot foreigners do beggar tourist in Malaysia. Most couple n solo tourist did that.so that y they randomly check solo n couple tourist.

    Don't make it a big deal…I was treated worse in UK and EC airports many times in my travels…but I consoled my self by thinking that the immigration staff are just doing their SOP..

    Hi from Australia mate, saying you have to go back to America for a month doesn't make any sense. It's kinda of Stupid. Hopefully your mood is all good now and enjoying Malaysia. Go have some great food in Jalan Alor street 👍

    Dude, dont take immigration officers as the same as normal citizens. They are trained to have mindset and conduct for security. So they always suspicious and observant. In my experience, i was asked if i want to sell ciggaretes illegally in London when i arrived in Hethrow. That is the mindset they have when dealing with Malaysian at that time. Although i am no smoker and that was my first time in London.

    I think maybe this happened because of many backpackers from Europe who came here with little money just asking for help asking for alms through street shows and and everything they need just for free..

    cautious of maybe u bring HIV n drugs symptoms n spread to their country. that's y they ask u to go back to your originating country to release all the "invisible unsuspected things" 1st. any emigrations in any world has right to reject any entry without reason to tell y they are rejected for their country safety n u should thankful to them if they are still consider your entry n let u in. good luck bro

    Maybe the they think you are doing some shady business like drug dealing in Thailand. Eg they ask to confirm your bank statement
