Since I had rerouted my trip to South Korea, I will wait until 2024. I heard the Japanese government will require negative test if you are not vaccinated.
I'm not nearly as optimistic. "In the not so distant future…" I take that more like within 6 months rather than within the next 6 weeks. There's nothing promising any timeline to do anything. "Considering" and a decision "may be made" by the end of the week. Somehow, I still think it is dropping the daily quota and expanding eVisa from other countries will be announced soon rather than something substantially more than that.
You should get sending number code from Apple and go after Japan Post

That's dumb about your Apple issues. I preorder a new Galaxy from Samsung almost every year and I have to sign for the package. I don't know if that's just a FedEx thing.

We have plans for travel to Tokyo and Osaka from Nov. 18 to Dec. 6. Looking forward to get to Japan. Hope to meet you when we are in Tokyo. Just hoping to get there as we have changed our trip 3 times from May to Sept to Nov. We're getting excited and hopeful to be able to travel to Japan.

Don't use apple man… they keep you in their power by not allowing you share your files and stuff on non-apple devices. i know it is hard to switch because you need to switch everything but it's better to switch and have freedom of choice then to stick with apple and pay way to much and have no other choices. they have a monopoly on you.
man the more you talk about apple.. the more it is clear that apple has a monopoly on you and your family. please, please break this monopoly…
I'd bring Apple to small claims court. They will lose. They can put whatever in the terms of service doesn't mean it's legal. Chances are they will settle as soon as you serve them.
There was a point where I was traveling to Japan every 4 or so months. I was on the Narita express for the last time in November of 2019 thinking to myself "see you again soon Japan" ohhh little did I know lol

I had to get my iPhone 13 Pro from my carrier since apple took them off their store once the 14 came out. Oh well, got the color and size I wanted.
