The hotel is in the Mountbatten area, you ate in the Tanjong Katong area. The Mountbatten area is home to a lot of very big posh houses. Great Video!!!
That’s Mountbatten road between Meyer, Amber and Tanjong Katong. Not quite the areas you would associate it with Geylang. Maybe check your Map?

It’s along Mountbatten road. A lot of big landed houses there. This area together with the Meyer road and Tanjong Katong are considered upmarket and many rich people live here. Definitely very different from the Geylang district that you have mistaken for.

No matter , how cheap our hotel here, still not as worst as in Bangkok .

Actually it look decent for being the cheapest hotel in sg. You can't get this big a room with the cheapest hotel in Tokyo or Bangkok even KL. Haha. I think there is even more rundown and tiny hotel in geylang. Even though it is in a ulu part of sg, the price and decent size room and passable condition (all the stuffs like aircon, tap, tv, lights etc all working fine) make up for it.
It is super funny! I lol a few time in the middle of the night. Hope I dun disturb my neighbors
This is not Geylang actually, you’re on Mountbatten road and it’s considered to be very close to Katong. This is definitely not a sleazy place and houses there actually price up to $3200 per sq ft (see Meyer House)
