It’s been 2 years since I’ve entered a road race, and today I’m entering the local criterium race nearby my home of Nagoya Japan. This race is called Hirata Criterium, it’s actually in Gifu prefecture, but very close to Nagoya and held once every month.
My wife also joined me and we cycled there and back together, a total of 90km, plus my race distance, so it turned out to be a pretty long day. It was her first time seeing a road bike cycling race, and it was nice to have her there to cheer me on.. Hopefully one day I can convince her to enter a race and give it a try..
I was very pleased with my power data which I have overlayed with my gopro footage which I’ll upload in a separate video tomorrow.
But I wasn’t nearly as aggressive as I’d like to be, and I need to work on that as well as my sprint positioning and confidence as well. Things to work on for next time!

You cycle slower then my 7 mile jogging speed around 8 9 mph but when u race u would make me look like stand by in my sprint and dust usain bolt πππ
