Relaxing walk through the famous gates of Fushimi Inari Shrine. If you’re in Kyoto, we recommend visiting this iconic shrine, located in the southern area of the city.

When you think “Kyoto,” these gates (known as ‘torii’ 鳥居) probably come to mind. There are approximately 10,000 of these vermillion gates that cover Mt. Inari, creating a tunnel that you can walk through.

P.S. Some of the great perks of this shrine:
– Hours: Open 24 hours a day (We recommend going early in the morning, or evening as the sun is setting to avoid the crowds)
– Admission: Free (But please make an offering in the ‘saisen’ offering boxes when you can!)
