  1. I don't think you need to use the "english" way to pronounce the name of a Swedish company ^^V

not sure how its pronounced in swedish but I am pretty sure its not the english way … at least in Germany we call it the same as you would do in Japanese.

That Donut looked like daddy eyball from gegege no kitaro ^^
also the Veggi stuff much much better for the environment !

  2. The japanese pronounciation of IKEA is much more similar to the Swedish pronounciation. Cheers from Sweden

  3. Keep on using the japanese pronounciation. It sounds as same as the swedish, original pronounciation.
I'm kinda allergic to anglicization of everything, so…good job there!

  4. Hmm, you already were at DisneyLand, maybe you should try DisneySea this time? If they had Halloween events there.

  5. I've actually been to this Ikea. It was eerily similar to our Ikea back home despite being on the other side of the planet. I think you can buy most things they serve at the restaurant (including the mustard dill sauce you liked) in the store on the ground floor.

  6. Lalaport brings back good memories! I went there several times when I was in Japan and there was so much to eat, do, and see there.

  7. Man IKEA for me will always be meatball and cheap ice cream cone!! haha
Thankyou for bringing us the Japanese version Rion!! 😆

  8. Chiba Prefecture were my brother Rey and his family lives, it's been awhile since I've been to Chiba, it's quite busy and stublishments are so many not unlike before 😀😍 thank you Rion for the tour I feel the place hello Chiba🤗❤️👍🏼

  9. You said it correctly while going up the escalator. The correct original Swedish pronunciation is "E-Kea" (which sounds better). The English pronunciation (US/Europe) is "I-Kea". Wish I was in Japan Ikea–the food looks way better than Singapore's Ikea & Turkey's Ikea. And wow! The variety of drinks you have is amazing.// The word, "furniture" has no plural form. Many furniture is still "furniture".

  10. If japanese people call Aikia イケア you basicly pronounce it correctly 😃 only americans pronounce it wrong hahah

  11. Dear Rion
We have in Paris 2 Ikea Store, i go every monday to drink a good caffee and to eat bread with cinnamon
The price here is very very cheap the coffee is free with the family card Ikea. If i drink 2 coffees and eat
2 breads with cinnamon it cost 1,75 euros (150 yens !!!) The ice cream is 1,00 and the vegetarian sandwich saussage 0,50 euros !!! I love ikea of course since many years.
I love also to look your video. bye Alain

  12. 5:09 it's not Halloween. It's a Swedish holiday called Kräftskiva, which is you just eat crayfish with your family while wearing crayfish themed hats and so on. =^)

  13. Thanks for the great videos Rion. Loving the slice-of-life feel from this video and your insights into Japanese life. Keep up the great work!

  14. At the Ikea in Milwaukee we have a "veggie" hot dog that is really very tasty! I don't like their meatballs because I don't think they taste very authentic. To me, they taste just like a store frozen meatball. My grandparents are from Sweden and I have my grandma's swedish meatball recipe and it tastes a lot better than Ikea's. Ikea is a fun place to go. I would like to stay in Chiba prefecture if and when I ever get to Japan as my home base for traveling around. Thank you for your video! We ❤️ your content 🙂🇸🇪

  15. Rion, thanks for another interesting video! I was planning on a trip to Chiba this month to see some baseball, but it looks like next year as the season is almost over. Take care!.

  16. Thank you for bringing us there, Rion. I love their salmon also very much. Fun fact, in Dutch we pronounce Ikea just as you do in Japanese 😀

  17. I realised something whilst you were holding the donut, you have very long nail beds

  18. Although Ikea would be the last place to eat at, especially in Japan,
    it’s quite interesting. Thanks.

  19. Hey Rion! This video is so much fun! I love it! It takes mind off of bad things happening. Thanks for the fun Rion!! Love from Destin Florida U.S.A ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💯💥💫

  20. We could taste the salmon from here in Southaven Mississippi. Let’s keep walking 🚶‍♂

  21. Bought like an entertainment center from ikea 22 years ago and still have it. The downsides are that it came in like hundreds of pieces of material to assemble and several days to finish it. The other problem is that once it’s assembled, it can’t betaken apart and reassembled.

  22. Wow, im jeaolus there is not much people in Ikea Japan. Usually in Singapore the Cafe & Restaurant is quite pack. Interesting they have halloween dessert already.. I didnt know the drinks can just go & refill to another drink. Usually, I wlll get the same type of drinks, as they also hv many interesting flavours. I heard Japan now is open for travel (without a tour guide). We can see Japan is getting better now. oh btw, Rion u need a haircut.

  23. Ikea is nice. If im being honest, I go for the restaurant more than the furniture hehehe.

  24. Funabashi Station and IKEA are so close 👌😃perfect ! 2:202:36 🤦🏻‍♀️🛝🤣. I really like this special vegetarian katsu curry rice🍛, the thin slice of salmon is also delicious without the sauce👌😋! 12:5213:03 The donuts that haven’t eaten Halloween are so cute🍩👁😅, the music is scarier 😄,sparkling raspberry soda 🍹, a total of 1,400 JPY 😉👍👏, L and R pronunciations are often difficult to avoid saying standard sounds 😅👍(Rion…..Lion) ! Let's keep shopping in IKEA, the Raskog trolley at 4,499 JPY is not bad👍, 19:0319:17 what a beautiful view and cool of Keibazyou🐎 ! , LaLa Port Tokyo Bay there are a total of three floors, wow! huge shopping malls. 21:3121:44 The beautiful sunset in 滨町中央公园 🌇, 22:5923:21 is because of the fountain drink 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣👏👍!
Thank you so much for Rion let's eat meccha Oishii foods in IKEA restaurant for how to use only 1,000 JPY (USD 10) cheap price🤝👍!!

  25. IKEA is IKEA, japanese pronounce it the same way as native swedes more or less ✌️ But IKEAs food, thats some cheap and simple stuff, but as a swede I loved going to IKEA in Japan when I needed some comfort food 😁

  26. i went to this exact IKEA back in 2019 eating that exact same halloween donut 😂 it always amazes me how IKEA japan is super empty unlike the ones we have in Malaysia, long queue and super packed, everyday.
