  3. That's a pretty good ad for the tires, everyone wants tried and tested. Love the transition at the beginning btw. Cant wait to see more of that rock now.

  4. I've got about 35,000km with my set: amazing tires on and off road. They are still really quiet and have plenty of tred left. Surprisingly great in mud/wet clay for an AT tire

  5. Thanks for these updates – I have about 8000km on a set of these Yokohama X-AT's and everything you said was spot on. I am so pleased I got them. I have driven on greasy rutted tracks, and through muddy bog holes out in the WA Goldfields, and recently travelled through the Pilbara to Karijini on plenty of rough gravelly tracks and they are awesome on and off road. Only thing I haven't tried yet is deflating for sand and beach driving but have every confidence they will be fantastic there as well. Looking forward to your next update.

  6. I've searched online for many months for replacements to upgrade my FJ Cruiser's ageing OEM Grandtreks. Had a shortlist of five and refined that to Nitto Terra Grappler G2s and Geolander X-AT. Zero stock on Nittos and no indication of future stock. So X-AT's it is, and based on reviews like yours and the positive comments I'm feeling more confident in my decision. Low noise is important to me. I get them fitted tomorrow, coincidentally by Tyres and More in Chelsea, VIC. I'll update tomorrow, hopefully positve 🙂 Thanks for your video. (Subscribed)

  7. Thanks for the review, just about to fit a set to my 100 series for an upcoming trip to the Cape in August.. Looking forward to seeing them on the car..Cheers

  8. Meh, i have a set on my HDJ79 ute which is my work truck, carting tools around the countryside as a mobile diesel mechanic… After 30,000 kms they became noisy AF from being heavily ridged on the transition from the outer tread blocks to to the centre blocks, even after rotation every 10k. Now after 40,000 they need to replaced, and for me i'm not satisfied with that mileage. You're right, they are soft, too soft as, what is for me, 95% primarily a road tyre. I'm going back to Michelins which I can usually get 80,000 easily.
