This Maurer Söhne Xtended SC 2000 spinning coaster has been a huge success ever since it replaced the old SDC Hurricane in 2013. Did you know that there are 15 of these Maurer Söhne spinners currently operating (including a traveling one on the German fair circuit) and East Coast(er) General has filmed all but two of them (other than Cagliostro at Rainbow Magic Land and Crush’s Coaster at Disneyland Paris, which are too dark)? So do you know which one he hasn’t ridden?
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is located about 75 miles south of San Francisco in Santa Cruz, California.

  1. Im guessing sonic spinball at alton towers, since i haven't seen a video of it on this or his channel

  2. This is a shot in the dark (no pun intended) but was it Laff Trakk at Hershey Park, assuming it counts?

  3. Personally, yes I think this coaster is good but I don't feel it stands out or is that much of an upgrade from hurricane. I do believe change is sometimes good so I am glad the boardwalk made a sincere effort to keep the park fresh and exciting. However, I wish the boardwalk would take out a ride and put in an inverting coaster/thrill ride as they only have 1/2 of a flipping ride as you literally have to pull on a bar to make it flip…

  4. My only issue with Undertow is that all the trim brakes are all in operation, so the pacing and speed of the ride suffers.

  5. Sadly was closed in october 2013 while I was @ Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. But the "park" was awesome enough without it. Especially the Ghost Train was very good! ^^

  6. Thank you so much for making this. I miss Santa Cruz so much, it makes me feel like I'm there again. <3

  7. This looks boring to me! Too much braking and too short. There must be strict height limits at the Boardwalk. Also wished it spun more. Bring back the Jetstar. That was awesome!!

  8. I went on this rollercoaster for my first experience on a roller coaster so for my first time , that was last week the greatest decision

  9. I think a B&M Floorless coaster would be AWESOME at Santa Cruz. They could call it the Ocean Scream or something

  10. This is such a fun ride and I’m so scared of roller coasters but if you don’t like to see the drop sit in the front because it turns backwards when you drop but it’s sooo fun
