Welcome to my journey through “The land of the Rising Sun”. I’ve spent a couple months in Japan travelling to a few cities. Nara is my 3rd stop to visit. This was Japan’s capital from the year 710 and still holds many historic treasures as well as Japan’s oldest and largest temples. It was great to experience monuments that still stand formidably. Here I have visited Nara Park, Todai-ji, Kasuga-Taisha and Yakushi-ji during my short stay. Oh! despite my belongings in my pocket being eaten by friendly deers, some advice will be to make sure nothing loose comes out of your pockets or bags. Believe me they will chew on something around you if you’re standing still 😉
