I went to Quiapo Market, the biggest one in Manila, Philippines
My previous Philippines market video ➑️ https://youtu.be/ZTiFnGBMgKU

Quiapo market Manila: The guys at my hotel’s reception told me that the Quiapo market is probably the biggest one in Manila. Since I really like to explore local markets, I had to go check it out. Whenever you are in a new country, local markets are always the best place to get some first impressions. I am new here in the Philippines, so checking out these markets is a must for me. Join me as we explore Manilas’s biggest market, where I also got caught in a tricky situation…

I am Ken Abroad, a full-time traveler traveling southeast Asia. It is my goal here on the channel to visit every country in southeast Asia and bring you along the journey.
You won’t see many tourist places in my videos, I rather like to show the β€œreal” sides of each country in my videos. Where do the local people go to eat? Where do they hang out? How do the locals travel through the country? Stuff like that.

  1. I keep coming back to watch your vlog, you're just so amazing and adaptive to every country that you go. Keep it up! β€οΈπŸ‡΅πŸ‡

  2. That part of manila have so many street children. They are not really homeless but they normally ask money to foreigners and local people just to have money to spend for their vices like computer games, older one's even smoke. The government discourage giving money to them.

  3. Most Filipinos are Sunday Christians. They don't really live the teachings. Very small percentage are faithful ones. They go to church out of obligation but no relationship with Christ at all. After the service, they're back to their worldly ways.

  4. I think conscience meaning when you wish is the inner sense of what is right or wrong in one's conduct or motives, impelling one toward right action..most specially your v'log..i'm hoping to be back to my hometawn philippines this coming december to visit quiapo church so that i can wish again..i remember the year when i visit that church it was 2014 ..

  5. ., those kids asking for money don't give if you want to give something i suggest to buy a food or bread.., that would be better dont let those lazy baggers to give money..

  6. just take extra care of your stuff and be vigilant when you are in a crowded areas Ken. Most of the people are friendly but still you'll never know some are bad too. In my 7 years that i live in Manila, i have experienced being my bracelet got snatched as going up the jeepney, bag slahed, pointed a gun at and knife while inside a jeepney, witnessed a man doing a carnapping (actually a Van), and in Quezon City some robbers got inside a bus where i was on. Thank God i was not hurt (only when the bracelet got snatched from my wrist. But that was long time ago. Could still be happening there but just be careful. It is still more fun in the Philippines, and I love my home Country, I still like to go back and visit and actually live there again in the future :-). God bless you :-). with the people asking money , i give from time to time but not always as like you said you cannot give everybody money there and to avoid others to surround you and ask money too. πŸ™‚

  7. Visit also the Muslim town Ken. There's a famous " Chicken Pastil" (Chicken Patter), only 10pesos or 0.80 cents in Malaysian Ringgit. It's near by Quiapo ( Ask the locals ). Keep safe always.

  8. Enjoy manila at its lowest and the Grandeur part , life as it is, do start the chain , just move on

  9. I don't think you need to worry about 'conscience', Ken; you seem like a lovely man, and I have heard the same from others that know you.

  10. Those streets are dirty man. Some people there spit on the streets. If you don't see any running water, better not eat the street food.

  11. do dont keep doing it they are a lot of them and also whatch your pockets ok don t let them sometimes come to close ok and if its more then one around u watch your things ok
