First trip in 2015 .We Decided to paddle to Dunoon from Inverkip crossing the clyde estuary .The weather was freezing from start to finish .Fishing was awful with not a single fish and not even a bite .Never the less we enjoyed the day and the great company .This was a test to see if any fish lived in the Clyde Estuary .The tide was receding most of the day .This area was once the most prolific in Scotland with record cod catches .Heavy trawling as made this place totally fish less .Big improvement needs done in this area ,looks like it’s going to take time .Right now there is no stock to be preserved ,the place although Scenic is bare .

  1. i think i remember seeing folk on the web saying it wasnt too bad in there, i heard it was trawled out a bit, but maybe the cold didnt help too? i thought fish generally kept right down deep and didnt feed much after the kinds of frosts we've had, nice to have some still weather though at last.
