Welcome to MALAYSIA in 2022!! This is episodes 2 in BORNEO and I’m going for a BBQ in the foothills of Mount Kinabalu. Stopping along the way for some street food clams.

After my morning eating I arrived at the base of Borneo’s tallest mountain to hang out with the cows. Capping off my day with a native curry dinner before checking into the Sutera Jungle Resort Mount Kinabalu.

  4. Hey Luke. The purple rice wrap in leaf is called Linopod in Dusun language (one of the indigenous people of Sabah). The rice is padi huma/padi bukit that mostly grow on hills and require less water compared to regular white rice. If you want to climb mount Kinabalu. Make sure to climb during the off-raining season. I'll recommend you between the end of June until August. That time will be hot (usually hot like super hot) but you will have a nice view of mount Kinabalu and the surrounding area and most importantly, you can climb mount Kinabalu without worrying the weather is going to rain. You don't want to climb when the weather is not good. Overall, I hope you have a wonderful experience here in Sabah and ohh, thumbs up to you eating a live Butod (even I don't dare to eat a live one, only the one that already been fried πŸ˜†)
