  1. Had to pause the video at 7:07, thought I recognized the drink next to the lunchable, sure did, turkey hill drinks!!!!! NEPA represent!!!!

  2. This was so helpful!! I’m always so lost in these types of stores but I know there’s a lot of hidden gems and now I don’t feel so intimidated to go.

  3. My mom loves bitter melon and I have never understood it… Sometimes is ok esp with rice but it’s way too bitter to love it the way she does

  4. No offense but the majority of the products you showed us are Korean and Japanese I’m only pointing this out because the video says Chinese store

  5. I'm from India, Kolkata. The rule in my home is if you don't eat bitter melon or neem leaves (whatever is cooked that day), you won't be allowed to eat the non-veg dish for that day (typically, chicken, fish, prawn or mutton.)

  6. as a Chinese person, I didn't realise that having fish or seafood out in the open is not common in the west 😳

  7. For for vlogger:

Whenever you have a supermarket tour please highlight the price not just the product.

    Thanks

  8. well there won’t be any people pushing and a lot people in the market because of COVID 19

  9. Cup Noodles aren't that bad! Try UK Pot Noodles then you'll know what's the worst

  10. I love going to Fubonn’s, Hong Phat, Uwajimaya, and hole-in-wall corner markets. It’s like a magical wonderland.

  11. I used to love shrimp crackers/chips 🤤
I had to give them up though because I don't eat chemical additives now.. and chemical additives are in basically everything. I have to make most things from scratch and I'm not sure that I want to take on the endeavor of trying to create shrimp chips from scratch 😁 I don't miss them that much

  12. Isn't what you buy at the market mostly dictated by what you are planning on cooking?

  13. Chinese red sausages, fermented tofu, and that green miso container with the yellow lid in the sauces aisle.
Three things my kitchen isnt complete without

  14. 😂🤣 yes I went back to bamboo Chopstix!!! I bought these beautiful stainless ones and they burnt the shit out of my lips eating my Ramen🤬😫

  15. When I go to Sydney I never get a chance to go into the Chinese supermarket much. I really want to! It’s almost impossible to get alot of Asian groceries here.

I will say this for cup noodle though… It’s better than the western offerings! I have been spoiled by good noodles now. I just don’t cook the cup noodles as long as they recommend before eating.

Samyung noodles are awesome. I’m totally addicted.

I wish there were more for me to try from the really good instant noodles. I know they’re ridiculously unhealthy but they save my butt when I don’t have time to cook.

  16. Machine ice cream is my favourite! Planning on going to my Chinese supermarket for the first time in forever. I love my market. Reminds me of my days in China. I miss China so much.
