While on #vacation here, don’t miss the District Six Museum which gives voice to the 60,000 non-white residents who saw their vibrant multi-racial neighborhood flattened during the darkest days of the Apartheid era. 1. My family left South Africa almost 30 years ago when I was 9 years old. I didn't understand at the time, but i am very happy we left when we did. The entire place turned into a giant dumpster fire in 1994. I have zero interest in ever returning. It is no longer a safe place!

  12. I will visit this beautiful city before I die. It just really is unfortunate that I am poor and cannot afford to go there.

  13. Good video but doesn't address safety concerns which is what many visitors would be concerned about. None of the comments seem to take this into account either. Considering the statistics and the horror stories that have come out of SA in recent years this cannot be ignored. I would be hesitant to go for this reason.
