#Nakano Broadway is a large shopping center in Nakano, Tokyo geared towards #otaku (or “geek”) culture. It provides a good alternative to the popular #Akihabara district since you can avoid the duty-free shops, avoid tourist traps and find old-school anime merch.

  1. As much as I love Angela, I gotta say I wanna see more of this Aaron cat. Pretty entertaining.

  2. Hey just wondering so you said that Nakano is pretty chill with recording and cameras n shiz. What bout other otaku areas like ikebukuro, akihabara, denden/niponbashi?

  3. Just got back home from Japan. Me and my friend spent about 3-4hrs here. What an amazing place to find treasures!

  4. Even if you're not into animes, Nakano os still a fun place to visit. If you want something different from conventional tourist destinations like Shinjuku or shibuya, Nakano is great as well. There are lots of restaurants, izakayas (Japanese pubs), clothing shops, drug stores (like Matsumoto Kiyoshi) and many more. It has a more local feel than the aforementioned places. If you go to the underground marketplace in Nakano Broadway, there's a soft ice cream store where you can get 10 flavors on one cone. It's amazing! A lot of fun flavors. Highly recommend Nakano if you want a less touristy but fun enough place 🙂

  5. To foreigners,
if u like Japanese anime or manga things u should visit this place, not Akihabara.

  7. Thank goodness another guy sensible enough to dislike Akiba as much as I do lol. I was always bored out of my mind there (except for the Volks DP store). It's just not what people think it is. Nakano and Ikebukuro though are absolutely A++.
