This really helps a lot thanks guys.. wife and I are going next month.. Good update on vaccine travel requirements
you guys are just so cute. Love seeing your videos!!
We also have a Hawaii vlog in on my profile for 2021 during covid if you guys want to check! Your video was very beautiful thank you 🙂
Thanks for this great info, we are not going until next April but I did get a car the other day.
@gsstidger great couple/family to follow for updated information on Maui as well as places to visit. (Next Year?)
Why are all these people coming to the islands during a pandemic??
You folks produce an excellent video! great job
Aloha Erica and Jordan! We just got back from Maui about 2 weeks ago and had such a wonderful time despite all the hoops we had to jump thru before traveling! We stayed in Kihei this time and loved it!
As you said, most everything is open. The beaches weren't all that crowded so we can safely socially distance from other folks with out wearing a mask while on the sand. Restaurants were super busy! We were out of luck booking at Star Noodle but managed to snatch an early dinner for 6 at Kimos just 2 days in advance. Ululani's shave ice in Lahaina was definitely a busy, but we timed it right to where there were only a few ahead of us.
Overall, we were just so happy to be in "paradise" again after over a year being mostly locked down at home! We soaked in as much aloha and Hawaiian sun as we could and ate so much Ono food while there. And most of all, we felt very safe with all the strict measures in place and most everyone complying! Can't wait to go back!
Pro tip: regarding rental cars, also look into Turo to rent a car! Support the locals who lost their jobs and are relying on Turo to rent out their vehicles for tourists to rent! Otherwise, get private transportation to and from the airport and Uber/Lyft around town!
Respectfully request that you do wear your masks here, even if YOU don't think you need to. It's so stressful for island residents to be around tourists who take advantage of the aloha spirit by basically daring us to say something. We don't want to confront you, so please just be respectful 🙏
Does anyone know if kids younger than 5 have to get tested??
😩 hopefully they left the test mandatory to go to Hawaii soon. I am fully vaccinated but they still want a test and the only one I can get is 200 dollars where I live. I want to go see my brother he is in the army in Honolulu, I haven’t seen him for over a year now.
Going to kauai in 2 weeks can hardly wait all vaccinated up and ready !!!! Daughter going maui in june so I got excited and sent it to her thanks
The idea that folks are travelling this far is a mystery to me. In Canada, no travel for pleasure – we can’t even travel to another province next to us, let alone across the pacific!
I went there last week. I don't know about other airlines, but if you fly with Alaska Airlines you can preclear on the mainland before you get to Hawaii. They check all your test results and make sure everything is set up correct of the Hawaii department of Health's website and then give you a wristband that says preclear. Once you get to Hawaii there is no waiting in line to have everything checked, you just walk out of the terminal like normal. The line was two hours at OGG when we got there and we just walked right past it.
If two working from home professionals were to move to Hawai'i which island would you recommend we move to first. Oahu or Maui. we have been to both islands but are unsure on the location. and Rent: House?, Condo? Buy? and what island might be better to do that on. Any advice would be Great. 🤙
It’s grossly crowded and traffic is prepandemic. Thanks for posting the info about mask wearing. If only tourists would obey our mandates.
Pass
Anyone used cvs lab test recently
Hello! Do you know if uploading vaccination documents to the Safe Travels program will make it so we can avoid testing/quarantine? Has that been rolled out yet? Set to arrive May 30. Thank you!
On the website travel.Hawaii.gov says only if you have been vaccinated in Hawaii they will bypass the negative results, is this not updated?
You guys mentioned that those who have been fully vaccinated won't be required to get tested..I couldn't find that information anywhere on hawaiicovid19.com. Please help!
Today is May 22, 2021. If you’re traveling from the States to Hawaii, do you still have to obtain a COVID-19 test? Or, if you’ve been fully vaccinated, can you enter Hawaii without a test?
poor people
The Hawaii Covid websites show nothing about vaccine passports. It is apparently not true you only need to show documentation of vaccination, and you still need a test. Should probably update the video!
As of June do you know if they have officially made it where fully vaccinated people can travel
What do you mean when you say "mainland" are you referring to another state outside of Hawaii?
Is it legal to run down the beaches naked and drag your balls behind you while leaving a Ditch behind you as you run?
We are headed there in February. We are fully vaxed. So no COVID testing needed for us right?
How do I get your iterate?
