Japan will no longer require inbound tourists to join a group package tour. In this video we will look at Japans border situation and highlight some NEW regulations that come into effect in Japan as from the 7th September 2022. This will allow self guided tours without the need of a tour guide. However, self-guided tours need to be planned with Japanese tour agencies. Foreign tourists will still have to apply for a tourist visa at their Japanese consulate or embassy. We continue to highlight the many signs and indicators pointing towards Japan reopening her borders for tourism.
Individual tourists are waiting to enter Japan but will the borders allow them entry?

Yen 30000 for ERFS. Japan Guide Agency. Sold separate from flight, guide or accomodation. So, can you buy the ERFS without the package?
🛫✈🛬
In brief… the Japanese Government is still considering to consider the consideration of a considerable possibility of removing the visa in an undefined future…
✈️ Thanks for expanding the good news
Excellent explanations of latest guidelines!
I think the buggiest unknown for us is the flight availability and hotel/Airbnb vacancy rate. Can airlines and hotels handle the volume when the world is free to enter japan. 🙂 can you please research?

✈Good job with the videos.

I had booked for November long time ago hoping it was enough. I didn't expect this nonsense of gradual freedom given to tourists. Japan, please threat your tourists with respect, not like cattle to milk money out of them.
If I have a friend who is going for buisness and is inviting me can an invitation from her company work as my entry? And if yes can a letter work and to who will i have to show this letter?
Thank you for your content really helpful!(:

Just read this: they have some guidebook on rules 😂 The guidelines further state that tourists booking their own airfare and accommodations with the travel agency acting only as their entry sponsor is not permitted 😆😭 ridiculous
JTB Australia is currently awaiting confirmation of the official details and booking procedures from the Japanese authorities. Once we have received specific details on the new requirements, this message will be updated.
Do you know why is COE taking too long to issue??
Its group tour but without the guide. You still must follow their itinerary and check in with the company. This will last 3-4 months then they will reevaluate after new yeara and decide when to announce Visa Waiver. They will most likely get another contagious variant during that time as well so hopefully the message gets through soon that this is like the common cold at this point!
You're the best!! Thank you for the info ✈✈✈✈✈
School back in session in USA, covid19 spreading with kids.
I already have my airline tickets for next spring, already have Airbnbs and hotels booked, already fully paid for a hike with Walk Japan… I'm fully vaccinated, and if I must, I'll go through the grueling process of getting a visa. But, if I can't move around Japan easily without a travel agent, I'll be cancelling my 2.5 month trip

So does the tour guide of a self guided tour need to pick you up at the airport OR can the visitor simply make use of existing public transit, such as NEXT, JR, and buses?
The Japanese government think the 3 million tourist will come in the next two month but in reality it’s will not reach 50,000
In 2019 41 million tourist came to Japan if each tourist spend US$10,000 that is included the hotel the airline and also the jr pass The total amount comes to 410, billion US$ a year they must realize the money which tourism come for
I read the published guidelines for tour without tour conductor _escort_. I go the impression that you still have a tour conductor but not someone that will escort you from place to place. The tour conductor is the person responsible for taking action when COVID situation arises. There's a part that states sufficient medical insurance is required which includes coverage for COVID treatment. It didn't really state explicitly that it must be a travel medical insurance but from a practical manner, the tour agency may require/restrict what is acceptable to them because they'll be liable if your Visa application denied or if it turns out whatever medical insurance you may have from your home country is insufficient when incidents happen. So I take that as expect to pay 8-10% of the cost of the airfare + hotel for paying for the travel medical insurance.
If you have a complaint about the Japanese way of doing things, don't come to Japan!
