Japan’s Overnight Sleeper Train Sunrise Seto Crossing Beautiful Sea, Tokyo to Takamatsu

We board Japan’s only regular overnight sleeper train, the Sunrise Seto, in a “Single” compartment for one person, and head for Takamatsu in Kagawa Prefecture. There are many highlights of beautiful scenery from the train window such as the Akashi Strait Bridge (one of the longest suspension bridges in the world), sunrise in Hyogo, the Seto Inland Sea with its islands, and the detaching scene of the Sunrise Izumo at Okayama Station.
Pajamas, slippers, hangers, blankets, pillows, and paper cups are provided in private rooms.
Common areas include soft drink vending machines, lounge, and showers. A limited number of shower cards can be purchased to use the showers. Note that towels are not provided.
There is no dining car, so those of you who want to eat dinner or breakfast should purchase their own meals in advance.
