I used to go Skiing in Myoko every year, but I worry All the great eateries run by friendly older people have closed or they have retired. Personally I'll wait till it's all back to normal & Japanese people are fully on board with tourists again. Wonderful people ❤️ 💖 Culture & food!
This might be an excellent chance for many folls, some fast planning and sorting finances over next few months, cheers ^w^ I still want to see friend in Tokyo, maybe a long travel inside Japan itenerary can be made, since I definitely want stay at Hakuba at some point :>
My flight for october got canceled anyway so Ill wait next year hopefuly sht gets back to normal.

We used to go skiing in Hakuba (Happo One ). It's a fantastic place to ski. Such good snow and the facilities and prices are unbeatable.
We stayed at the Hakuba Ski Lodge. But it's all good.
Just another added cost with the increased air fares to, but I'll buy Yen while its weak and just wait and hope for Cherry-blossom 2023 otherwise back to Europe June/July 2023. Thanks for the update. Cheers.
This announcement forcing travel agent booking is good news for agents, but bad news for the vast majority of travellers capable of booking flights and hotels themselves.
So again, we wait for Japanese beurocracy to catch up, and many of us will now take our money to other countries.
Great to hear someone has worked it out. I'll work out how to help foreigners into Tokyo.
This is the land of "Yoku Wakaranai". Precious quote!
Great tip! Seek someone who is finically invested in getting you into the country, legally. And work with them. I've been hearing there are some restrictions but the source wasnt so clear. (I believe pre pandemic, some 30 million tourists were visiting Japan, yearly, which is a lot more than 50k, specifically 0.05 million tourists (I dont think 50k to be a yearly figure but surely its far less than peak summer tourists). Thus its understandable how few this number can feel, even if the world population shrunk a bunch)
