A remake version of former 4K Aso Panorama Line scenic drive in Kumamoto Japan.
Aso Panorama Line runs in between the bottom of Mt. Aso caldera to one of the peak (Mt. Nakadake) of Mt. Aso located at the center of caldera.
Mt. Aso is 2nd largest caldera in Japanese land and a highly active volcano.
The drive starts at Aso Station JCT located on the bottom of caldera and goes up to the Aso Sanjo Terminal near Nakadake No.1 Crater sending up smoke constantly and back to Aso Station JCT again.
Google Maps route: https://goo.gl/maps/6mErqMG34y9TgoGAA
Vehicles can go up to the main crater of Mt. Aso (Nakadake No.1 Crater) when volcanic activity is not active. Unfortunetely we couldn’t get there due to high volcanic activity on that day. For the road to the crater, please refer to the following video captured in 2020 when the volcano is not active.
00:00 Aso Station JCT→Kusasenri Observatory
16:22 Kusasenri Observatory→Aso Sanjo Terminal
20:19 Aso Sanjo Terminal →Kusasenri Observatory
24:12 Kusasenri Observatory→Aso Station JCT

A.S.O. too much volcano!
coś pięknego 😉
Woaaah!!! The volcanic landscape looks fantastic in sunlight. I got more and more excited the further uphill you drove 😁
Hello friends, thank you for sharing, your country is the place I yearn for
Thank you for this video. I did this drive a few years ago and it is great to have a reminder of it.
Very interesting volcanic landscape on this mountain on Kyushu. Enjoyed every km of the drive, unfortunately the road to the crater was closed, but it was still great to watch the drive, thanks for sharing it, greetings from a fellow roadtripper and creator from Germany!

is this drive the same as the milk road? if not, what are the differences between the 2? Thanks so much! Am driving up from Kumamoto tomorrow and wondering which route to take 🙂
