Japanese Curry made with 🍅TOMATOES🍅?! | Kitamoto Tomato Curry | Saitama Japanese Food Tour

Japanese curry is distinctively different from Thai or Indian curry, known for its mild and sweet taste. You can find this dish just about everywhere in Japan, as it is a tasty, cheap and quick meal for the busy salaryman. But even in Japan you can find unique local variations of the Japanese curry, such as in the city of Kitamoto in Saitama Prefecture just outside of Tokyo. A large producer of tomatoes, the people of Kitamoto combined the tomatoes they grew with curry to create a unique dish called the Kitamoto Tomato Curry.
