Then in parks news, we’ll review last week’s celebrations around World Princess Week, and take dig into some more Halloween offerings and updates.
Also, Annual Passholders in Orlando will be getting even more perks soon, Starcruiser bookings have been announced for 2023, and we look at even more people misbehaving in Disney Parks.

What are you looking forward to Disney announcing at D23 Expo?
I would really like for them to announce a new partnership or overhaul of the Test Track and Autopia rides. And transition them to little electric cars you can drive. Both of them would benefit from that in terms of gas fumes and potential ease of ride, as well as the thought of going to the future of less fossil fuels for transportation.
My Target store a couple of miles away was one of the first to get the Disney "store" experience inside, and it is LAME! It is literally just a couple of gondolas with generic Disney products. They made it seem like there would be Disney Store exclusive merch and maybe Target exclusive Disney merch made just for them. SO disappointing, and then a year later for them to close all the Disney Stores, awful.
I love the show and like that you give honest opinions about the parks but sometimes the criticism isn’t justified. I feel Disney did a great job delivering during Covid from CM issues to supply chain. I feel they just switched their priorities to what would bring folks into the parks and Marry Poppins wasn’t it.
Also IP connects people at home to the parks. I want to see Coco, Marvel etc if I didn’t I could just go to Six Flags or Knots Berry Farm.
Would love Disneyland to have Magic Bands it’s truly the only thing I think that WDW does better over Disneyland.
I would really love folks to stop complaining about their AP privilege. Let’s face it you buy an annual pass so you can get out of paying gate prices ( a bit of a cheat) and the company benefits by getting your money up front with the hope that you won’t actually come as often as you think- both sides are really trying to take advantage of each other However, we know that in the world today AP holders are really getting the deal because a one day park hopper is around $160. You go 10 separate days and you have already recouped the highest tier. and so many people are making a living as Vloggers that they’re in the park all of the time. It seems like no one is buying an AP and not using it as much as possible-yeah from a business perspective Disney isn’t winning here. Please stop complaining about APs benefits you’re already getting more than a fair deal.
Joni Mitchell! Sang that
I agree when Tom says that we're critical because DISNEY told us they were different and better. Disney taught us to expect more and better. They can't pretend that we don't know there shouldn't be looming ugly show buildings, and giant permanent scaffolding in the lagoon, and IP cookie cutter attractions. And chipped paint, broken infrastructure, etc.
I can't wait for all the D23 announcements … Tron Treehouse for Disney Resort, Enconto People Mover, Tram Movie Episode IV "The Apocalypse", French Pavillon "Mary Poppins Revenge Coaster", Marvel DCA E ticket ride – the Iron Man Carousel. Can't wait.
Perhaps the poor behavior comes now that there's alcohol in the parks. There is a reason Walt did not allow it.
The Wish wasn't "clumsily" rolled out. They had massive delays in Germany due to staff getting COVID at the shipyard which slowed it down. And obviously, there were supply chain issues getting materials on time like everywhere else. I was on for 7 nights in July and the ship still looked great and everyone around us seemed to love it.
I got the reference Coach! Vegas Vacation!
Camila is on fire, but 100% correct. The Imagineers have to step it up
Kamaila – agree maintenance is really bad @ parks. It takes away the magic when the prices increase but the maintenance is still bad & you spend most your Disney day finding supervisors to report the maintenance problems. What happen to the red carpet treatment for guests?
Kamaila asking for imagineers to do better, yet they’re doing incredible work in Tokyo, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Imagineers are amazing – however they are budget cut constantly in US parks. Also… guardians wasn’t supposed to be an IP attraction at first…
Blaming imagineers is just bad show to me.
I will be so disappointed if they put zootopia in animal kingdom. The whole point of the movie is to use cute animals to show a younger audience that human issues of implicit bias and stereotypes are hurtful and wrong. This has nothing to do with AK which focuses on science, the environment and conservation. Pandora, while it is IP, at least has these themes. If anything, zootopia most closely aligns with Epcot or, if you want to make a stretch, Tomorrowland.
A big component of D23 that I believe you all neglected to talk about is the 100th Anniversary of the company, and how it will be celebrated in the parks. The main D23 poster celebrates Disney 100
Kamaila is on fire. I’ve noticed the same thing at WDW with maintenance issues for several years – the irony is that WDW was such a good example of attention to detail and immaculate cleanliness my whole growing up – there uses to be an expression that it was impossible to even see a piece of trash in Magic Kingdom in part because of the way the trash cans would empty trash into the system of tunnels below and also that cast members would pick up trash immediately if someone dropped a piece – now it’s common to see litter all over the parks. The magic veneer has faded
@1:20:30 WDWNT TV staff – Put on headphones, set volume so Rob comes in at a normal level and you can hear him clearly (turn off any volume autoleveling software), listen 20 seconds.
shows content was great today btw
I enjoyed the show, but Kamaila's audio level was much louder than anyone else. I had to keep adjusting the volume to hear Rob but then Kamaila's volume was so loud that I had to turn it down.
Can you please put Robs head in the middle of the screen when he's full frame?
I love Parkscenter and really enjoy hearing everyone’s opinions every week. But I hate having to spend the whole show riding the volume button because of the wildly varying audio levels of the guests. Please, I beg of you, fix this situation. It’s terrible to be blasted out of my chair by one person and then not be able to hear someone else.
The Target Disney stores do exist. I did 2 weeks of overnight shifts to set one up.
There is a "disney store" in 1 target near me and it is awful! every time I go to that target, and I hope it's better. but the shelves are empty and everything they do have is on the floor! Also, other than Lego its useless.
Everyone needs more than their salary to be financiaIIy stable. The best thing to do with your money is to lnvest it rightly because money left for savings always end up used with no returns…..
Please balance the volume across the mics
Love this panel and love all the shots fired from Kamaila lol
I think Bob Cheapo pulled the plug on the H2O product because it was too expensive and the company decided to close up shop after losing the contract.
Loved the show especially Kamaila's thoughts. She is 100% correct with her opinions in my book. If Disney didn't announce anything else new (that we don't already know about) and said that they have decided to heavily invest into the existing park infrastructure/rides and enhancing the customer experiences I would jump for joy. Disney's comments over the past several months only serve to further solidify their disconnect from their loyal customers. It's like being in an abusive relationship. We keep gladly taking the abuse.
Give Kamaila a soapbox every week, please! I love her sass, her passion, and her knowledge.
I saw a “Disney Store” in a mall here in Texas recently- I want to say it was a Mills mall in Dallas? It was only in passing though and I only recall it because it was genuinely depressing. It was a blank store with white walls and no Disney decor, with just a small Disney Store logo over the entrance. The only way I can describe it is think of that tiny store in your mall that sells cheap leggings and “funny” t shirts, or when one of those cell phone repair places manages to get an actual store spot instead of a kiosk. It was THAT empty. But the merch on the inside and the signage on the racks and stuff made it clear it was a legit Disney Store. I assume it was an outlet like you said, but it was tiny and pathetic and the idea that it survives while those cooler stores died is heartbreaking.
I will not say I’d be disappointed to see them sink money into the parks and not crank out new rides. As someone who, like Kamaila made a point to say, got used to a certain level of quality and detail at Disney that they themselves created and held themselves to, I would much rather see my money go into refurbishing the Disneyland Peoplemover and refurbishing hotels and keeping exploding pipes from being unsurprising news. I would love to see Magic Happens and Paint the Night come back- I had a spare 4 day ticket from a family member who couldn’t make it on a trip, I held out until it had almost expired in hopes they’d bring those back and I could catch them, but I had to go without because my ticket was going to expire.
When I went to Disneyland about a month ago, the lack of care was evident. I will say a good 80-90% of the cast members were absolutely fabulous in all ways. But there was ALWAYS trash in the queues and guests walking around acting absolutely horrific with nobody stopping them from swearing, blasting music from their phone speakers, and climbing on things. I rode rides at rope drop on my first day that had broken elements I knew should work (for instance, half the cars in Radiator Springs Racers had lost their working mouths and the big harvester guy neither lit up nor moved forward) that were still broken at the end of my last day there. I was genuinely upset by it. I’m not going again for a couple years unless they bring those parades back, because they aren’t making it as fun to see my favorite things and they’re hyping up all this new but it isn’t coming out like it should. This leaves me with nothing.
I really enjoy your video each week. I hear updates here that other channels do not say. Thank you for the long episodes each week
I happy to dump on Chepak but this time, I’m pretty happy about the AP 30% off. Doing something for the loyal patrons…go figure!
37:36 Preach Kimala.
52:11 Kamaila is on a roll!
Agree with Kamaila 100%. Even right before covid we were telling our friends how they had to go to wdw. Now we tell them to stay as far away as possible. We can't be the only ones doing this and it will catch up to them eventually.
The further into the show I get, the better points she makes!
