Let’s walk from Nakano, a central suburb in Tokyo to Shinjuku, one of the busiest commercial districts in the city.

  1. I like these walks, I like all of them, Tokyo is so nicely planned and civilized! Hope we get to see your dad soon🙂

  2. I love hydraenids. Keep pointing them out to me. One of the many things I miss about living in Japan.

  3. I understand. I also deal with depression. And while I get through my days and enjoy those around me, there is still a lingering feeling of sadness there. Your guys videos are a breath of fresh air for me. I appreciate the hard work you both put into them and enjoy your commentary. Thank you for these. You're making a difference in people's lives

  4. please have faith in god and prayers. u will feel better. we all have those times in our lives and we just got to pray, be positive, be hsppy , meet family, meet friends till this sadness passes away. god be with you and keep you safe, healthy and happy.

  5. I'm sorry for the tragedy. Later this afternoon I'll go to the local Embassy of Japan to pay my respects to Abe San.

Stay strong Shinichi. I know the world is getting madder & madder but we are sticking together. Whenever you need someone to talk to, remember that we are always here to listen.

    Love from HK❤

  6. First time on the channel, these walks i enjoy from several youtubers just to relax and enjoy the ride, i also follow the walks on google earth pro. Thanks for the walk

  7. I'm sorry I don't watch these as soon as I come out but I love them. This is what I do when I go to Japan, just walk around and I MISS IT.

  8. Hi Shinichi. Thank you for sharing your story. I have been experiencing the same thing, the weight in your chest that comes with anxiety. I had a friend pass suddenly a few months ago. We were very close. I have seen a doctor recently, and luckily it is not a heart attack but an anxiety attack. I try to remain positive through life, but sometimes life throws you for a loop. It's rough, but I am glad that you are pushing through it. Better days are ahead for you, never forget that!

  9. I enjoy your walks and honest chat about your depressive event. As I am a fellow sufferer I know all too well the confusion that results. Not your doing- we can't control our chemistry.Keep on going- I'm happy for you that you have an understanding mate. Best wishes from Oz.

  10. Really hope we can go to Tokyo soon again. Any idea when it will be open for regular tourism where we can go where we want when we want as it used to be?

  11. Hi, I just discovered you. I am 77 years old and grew up in Nanakuli, Oahu in the 1950’s. Now I live in the Bay Area, California. Good luck to you on your channel. It’s nice to see a “ loco” boy. 🤙🏻 Shaka. Do a hot pot video with your father, Korean kind food

  12. Bro i just noticed, when you do these walks you stick out in public since youre not wearing a mask 💀

  13. Love our videos, walks and talks. Helps me relax and unwind after work. Keep it up we are with you x

  14. When depression hits I just can't stop crying for no apparent reason. It usually happens first thing in the morning when I wake up. I never experienced it before the Pandemic. I guess it makes everything gloomy & sad. It seems like the whole world has no future😔

  15. Mental health struggles are nothing to be ashamed of. Many people struggle to maintain physical, mental and emotional balance. I find it to be one of the hardest things about being human. Glad to see you coping in such a healthy way (long walks). And I think your partner is so sweet and wise to remind you that you may need to take your meds to stop from spiraling further down. So good you have that kind of support. Love and hugs to all my fellow humans who struggle with depression and brain chemistry.

  16. Thank you I understand if I get too upset I get stress angina, big hugs to you for sharing…. I read, watch things I enjoy like your videos, walk, cook which is my therapy.

  17. Thank you so much for this video, I loved this long walk and Thank you for being open about mental health, I am happy to hear you feel better now again.

  18. Thank you for your honesty, you're definitely not alone in struggling and its great that you have shared your feelings, hope it helps knowing you have so much support! Walking helps my anxiety too, its very calming. I love watching your local walks and how you stop and look at plants, trees and houses (I do the same and I'm not even filming lol). Its like walking with a friend. You both work hard producing excellent, interesting content, please take care of yourselves too. I'm now in my third year of learning Japanese (Im 52) and hopefully I can come back and see some of the fascinating places you and Satoshi have shown us xx

  19. Looks like Hosenji temple. An oasis of calm near Shinjuku. Thanks for taking me with you on this walk! Bring back many memories of similar walks I took, many years ago.

  20. Hey Shinichi, so good to see your video and it is ok to feel down. Things are so crazy right now with the pandemic, general unrest etc that, please do take extra care of yourself!

  21. I enjoyed your walk very much, actually I used to live in that part of Shinjuku, you walked past my old building we lived in!
I completely understand how you was feeling with regards to depression and anxiety, I also suffer from this for a few years now, my social media followers see pictures of my "amazing life" in Tokyo but have no idea of the daily struggles I face. Going for a walk especially around the beautiful parks is very helpful, all you can do is keep going.

We never know what people are going through so always be kind.

  22. I can't imagine any sane person not suffering depression right now. The world is insane, and now Japan has suffered a terrible and horrifying crime. You are very lucky to have a wonderful partner who is so supportive and loving.

  23. New subscriber! I really enjoy your pleasant and relaxing walks! I love how you point out the details in side streets, and I like how you let the viewers know where you are, as I enjoy going on google maps to check it out there as well. Also, mature and professional channel, and it's also very nice to see a local's take on things, as opposed to a foreigners perspective on Japan all the time… Your English is excellent… Keep up the great work! 🇨🇦

  24. I am a caregiver to family members and one struggles with anxiety and depression. I try to have her go outside for morning sun, eat well and to sleep enough but that never goes according to plans 😞. Try to have dark greens (not just lettuce if you have salad) and sweet potatoes, and limit meat and pork …I notice when my dtr listens to this she does better…Satoshi needs to care for himself too…I had to make an effort to do that for myself as well. Thank you for sharing- it helps me feel understood 🙂 I am going to pray for you that you be filled with love and good energy 🙏 Sending you love from Hawaii 💚
