旧三井家下鴨別邸の百日紅が散り際の見頃ですと聞き、それはつまり、見頃すぎでは？ と思ったのですが、すばらしい散り際の見頃でした。日本語ってすごい。
上賀茂神社方面から流れてくる賀茂川と大原方面から流れてくる高野川が合流する地点は“鴨川デルタ”と呼ばれています。
夏になると親子連れや大学生など地元の人達が水遊びをするスポットです。
その川の中洲にあるのが、糺の森、下鴨神社。鴨川デルタを北へすすむと下鴨神社の参道が始まり、その脇には、旧三井家下鴨別邸、河合神社、さるやなどがあります。
ちょっと水に足をつけて、かき氷を食べて、ほとんど歩かなくてもいい夏の京都散策コースで短い時間でさくっと歩けます。
The confluence of the Kamo River flowing from Kamigamo Shrine and the Takano River flowing from Ohara is called the “Kamo River Delta.
In summer, this is a popular spot for local people, including parents, children, and university students, to play in the water.
The Tadasunomori forest and Shimogamo Shrine are located in the middle of the river. The approach to Shimogamo Shrine begins as you walk north along the Kamo River delta, and along the side are the former Shimogamo villa of the MII family, Kawai Shrine, and Saruya.
A quick dip in the water, a bite of shaved ice, and a short, almost no-walking summer stroll through Kyoto.
