Noto Kokubunji was a Buddhist temple established in 843 in Noto, today’s Ishikawa Prefecture. Located in Nanao, thought to have been the capital of the Noto domain then, the temple was rediscovered late in the twentieth century. Work is now underway to restore it and prepare it for exhibiting to the public.
