On July 30, 2022, JAL operated a charter flight departing from and arriving at Narita called “Wanokuni Flight ーAdventure with the Legendary Craneー” in collaboration with the popular animated film “ONE PIECE.”
“Wanokuni” is an imaginary country from ONE PIECE, modeled on Japan.
The charter flight was planned by a cabin attendant, a member of JAL’s in-house venture team “W-PIT” (*), who extremely loves ONE PIECE. This flight was made possible with the cooperation of Shueisha, Inc. and Toei Animation, Inc.
We would like to share some scenes of the charter flight and the thoughts of staff involved in this project.
