A new 4-launch roller coaster for Parc Astérix in Plailly, Pacardie France is opening in 2022-2023. This Intamin-made ride (Model # LSM Launch Coaster 51-1075/1361) takes riders through RMC-like elements in a 1-minute 40-second adventure that is pure fun from start to finish. Enjoy our recreation with no limits. #ParcAsterix #France #Coaster
Rocky Mountain Construction created new ride elements that park-goers had never seen before when they started hitting the scene after their Texas Giant conversion in 2011. In just 7 years they’ve taken the industry by storm and changed the way companies design coasters. It’s not always about highest and fastest anymore. Now Intamin has adopted some of these strange looking elements into what looks like it could be the best coaster in the world. Our Twitter is always filled with the latest coaster news: https://twitter.com/InsideAmusement – Check it out!
The 2 LSM launches are utilized a total of 4 times on this journey, taking riders through a 101-degree drop with a stall at the top, a top speed of 66mph (106kmph). 167 feet (50 Meters) and a length of over 3500 feet (1075m). The park decided to add the new ride after being impressed with the addition of the Intamin coaster “Taron” at Phantasialand.

The ride also is billed as including the most unique elements on an LSM ride (30), the most launch elements on a coaster in Europe including the launches in the half-pipe after the ultra-fast side switch, allowing forward and backward launches into a “Cliff Hanging Experience.” 23 Airtime moments are felt along the ride’s path.

Pure joy.
This ride has already been built at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. It's called Pantheon. We get to ride it in March 😎
Maverick 2.0
Kind of unrelated, but the sound the coaster makes in this simulation is very calming. 🙂
Awesome !
so basically, pantheon?
I though that was CGI lol
Can't wait !!!!
So Pantheon if it borrowed more from Maverick and less from Steel Vengeance.
Who's here after Pantheon POV?
Still looks better than Pantheon
Pantheon on steroids but red
So basically its an RMC & Intamin child?
Is this coaster still getting built? I haven't heard back about it since it was announced 3.5 years ago.
That roll at the end… sheesh 😍 if the profiling is the same as the video, it's very reminiscent of the Mosasaurus Roll on VC. Seems to incorporate the best of both Pantheon and VC into one, wish I lived nearby to experience it.
Looks like a better/upgraded version of Pantheon at Busch Gardens.
Ngl the holding brake ruins what would've been an insane ride
Mirror of pantheon?
Is this still happening? I hope lol
Very similar to Pantheon
Ça va être une turie
How Intamin got those elements is insane
Nul
It’s like Maverick and Pantheon had a kid. Just beautiful.
stealth thorpe park
Yes i see it they just build it
The pacing looks awful
How do you create the automatic track switch?
This is just like pantheon
Il va être trop trop bien j'ai trop hâte
super
This is like if maverick and velocicoaster had a child
This looks absolutely insane
I went to Parc Asterix yesterday and i witnessed this coaster building up. The track is already set up. I can tell you that even without trains rolling, you can feel this is going to be terrifying.
J’ai trop hâte qu’elle ouvre au public
It looks a little bit like Hyperion from EnergyLandia
This looks great can't wait to go on it when it opens!
Ça a l air d être de la camelote au bout de 2 ans si ça casse pas bravo
Now I’m sad because I will go to France in August and it won’t be ready yet.
Rzy
Il est un poil trop court
How did you predict this
Imagine those magnetic launchers being “on” while the train rolls back 😳
