On August 19, 2022, my wife and I went to Sayama in Saitama Prefecture. Sayama Hills was also the model for the setting of Studio Ghibli’s movie “My Neighbor Totoro,” and there are more than 50 forests called “Totoro no Mori” (Totoro’s Forest). There is also a facility called “Kurosuke’s House,” which you can visit if you make an appointment on the day it is open. We went there without knowing about it and could not see it. In addition, Sayama offers grape picking, and we were lucky enough to purchase some last year, so we went there again this year, but it was closed period. We ended up having a day just for a walk, but my wife said it was relaxing, so it was okay 🙂
