    It's a nice idea but as it funnels animals across a narrow choke point I picture that the cunning predators will learn to just wait on either side of the bridge for dinner to show up.

    Some people ask how animals become aware of bridges. The intelligence of animals is greatly underestimated. Animal brains are "3d object processors" (like our brain): this means that they explore, represent objects in a virtual scenario (in their mind), evaluate them, assign to each object with its characteristics (favorable or unfavorable), and update the map whenever they perceive changes. Obviously they perceived a favorable change in the scenario (passaje whitout cars) and prefer to go through it because it is less dangerous (since they have evaluated the vehicles as dangerous). Exactly like we do, only perhaps with less sophistication. Forget that animals are robots commanded by simple stimuli.
    So, if one day you come across a dangerous animal, add to that the animal *thinks*. Only thinking better will save you.

    All great, apart from the turtle tunnel. There's a good chance they'll flip onto their backs/shells and then potentially die, but where did it even go?
