Castlepoint and Stonehenge Aoteroa are both located on the Wairarapa Region just a 2-3hrs drive away from New Zealand’s capital, Wellington. Castlepoint lighthouse is is the North Island’s tallest lighthouse standing 52 metres above sea level and is one of only two left in New Zealand with a rotating beam. It is owned and operated by Maritime New Zealand. Stonehenge Aotearoa is a window into the past where the visitor can rediscover the knowledge of their ancestors. It incorporates ancient Egyptian, Babylonian and Indus Valley astronomy, Polynesian navigation, and Celtic and Maori starlore. Built on the same scale as Stonehenge on Salisbury Plain in England.

  5. Lighthouses are our favorite places ever!!! We had no idea there's one so beautiful and so close to Wellington! Even the walk there is amazing, these rocks seem to be works of art!

  7. Great locations for shooting some footage. Are you allowed to fly drones there? Some drone footage would be amazing to see too.
