Sasebo Day in the Life! Come make japanese iced coffee and see Saikaibashi Park!

2:02 Japanese Iced Coffee
2:20 Saikaibashi Park

My first Sasebo Vlog! In today’s video I’m taking you on a pretty normal Saturday around Sasebo. My husband, dog, and I have been stationed in Sasebo with the US Navy for about 10 months and in Japan for almost 4 years total. We love Japan and want to share our favorite places with you!

Maybe you’re planning to visit or you’re about to be stationed here as well! Either way you’ll get a peek into our life as an overseas military family. Japan has tons of U.S. military members living here and I hope my channel makes you excited and less nervous about life overseas.

Today we’re making coffee at home (Japanese iced pour-over) and walking the dog at Saikabashi Park.

Subscribe to this channel and ring the bell if you enjoyed this video!

  1. I just love seeing you. It looks like Sasebo is beautiful and you are safer from COVID than being in the US. I love your day to day life, photos and drone footage. Keep it coming. We also are putting up the Christmas tree. Peace and love to you and Jason. Forever family. I can't wait for COVID to be over. As you know, I work with labs setting up testing connectivity and my clients and I are getting ground down. Trump Administration is doing nothing but letting Americans die. Japan and the military is keeping you safe. We are locking down and keeping all family safe. No pumpkin carving, Thanksgiving, Cookie decorating or Christmas. We want 2021 to be magical. Keep YouTubing.
    Love you both.

  2. Great video, Maggie. I love the scenery, the aerial shots, and a glimpse into your life in Japan. I look forward to seeing more of it!

  3. I was stationed in Yokosuka in the early 2000's but came to Sasebo to deploy on the amphibious ships there very often. I found Sasebo to be very pleasant and relaxing. It definitely wasn't the most happening place to be at the time but I appreciated it. I would walk the open air mall, I found a nice coffee shop not far from the train station where I would sip lates and read, and even won some money at Pachinko. I wish you luck with your channel and your time there. I would like to see what the base is like now, especially the enlisted club.

  4. I just searched Sasebo and found your great channel thank you! my nephew was just assigned to the America he’s been in Japan for several years now however he was promoted and is based in Saebo it was great to find you xo
