Welcome back to Sasebo, Japan! Spring is coming to an end here in Sasebo and the absolute best part about it is all the blooming flowers! Unfortunately we missed the azaleas this year, but this park was still gorgeous and the perfect relaxation space! I would love to go back with a packed lunch, my dog, and my kindle to just relax and enjoy just how beautiful Nagasaki Prefecture is. Don’t worry though, if you missed the cherry blossoms, wisteria, and azaleas there are still plenty more flowers to bloom! Summertime brings hydrangeas (possibly my favorite!), roses, and sunflowers! There are tons of places to see flowers down here on Kyushu so don’t worry you’ll definitely be able to catch one!

EVERYONE knows about Jam coffee, but maybe you haven’t moved to Sasebo yet and now you’ll have a comfortable spot to check out. Jam is very close to Hario and has a parking lot (free) as well as english menus and some of the staff speak really good english. Definitely a nice spot if you feel hesitant or nervous to venture out. I recommend ordering their espresso soda–It’s so good!
Nagushiyama: https://goo.gl/maps/uNbiyaoXUEVry4Xw7
There is so much at this park including camp grounds! We didn’t check out the camp grounds in this post, but if camping is your thing and you want to find a beautiful quiet spot nearby this would be a great option! This park has cherry blossom trees, but is most known for its azaleas which usually bloom by the second week of April, but of course every season is different. You can see all the beautiful picture of the flowers on google maps. Enjoy!
