The port of Umedo, located in the town of Umedo-cho, Minamata City, Kumamoto Prefecture, was connected to the neighboring Chisso Minamata Factory by a tunnel across a small mountain, and functioned as a port for receiving materials for factory products by cargo ships. Cargo ships from the former Soviet Union and other countries were anchored at Umeto Port, bringing in materials for the factory products.

目の、錯覚？ずーと、高台だったと、思っていたら、いつの間にか、海だった。それにしても、なんだか 道路の駐車場そんな感じ。見晴らしがいいところですね。
