Yes, I have to admit I am in kickback mode. Invited to two parties this weekend where I can network, but, too hot. I already have revenue streams but do have something I can market, too. Right now taking some me, restoration time in, 3 months out of America. All stress is gone. Has been gone.
33 minutes in. I wish Nicole Ban had talked more about safety in Cape Town since itβs notoriously dangerous.
Roxanne mentioned people approaching her like a servant. Thatβs something I think about a lot.
βI have more privilege as a black woman outside the US than I do within the USβ ππΎππΎππΎππΎππΎππΎππΎππΎ Such a great panel of women. Great job Adalia!!!
I appreciated the candor and transparency each woman brought to this conversation!

Catching the replay AND WOWWWW. I had my hand over my heart the whole time. I absolutely LOVED every minute of this. Adaila you are truly a gifted interviewer. So much ZEST and juicy goodness shared (even when the ladies shared their βbadβ experiences. I need these interviews like I need oxygen. Each time I see a black woman expat share her courageous journey it lights my fire even more. Continued blessings to each of you ladies. ππΎβ€οΈπ
The money issue is one I have to get over. I'm working on it. Because I know that a "lower" salary abroad goes farther. Its just the mentality of me getting older and taking a pay cut. So glad these ladies have chosen a fulfilling life.

Chef Karen doesn't get what Roxanne was alluding to.

This was an AMAZING discussion!!! Thank you Adalia and the panel members. Great discussion and such diverse perspectives. I was today years old when I learned the term βthird culture kidβ πππ
Hello Adalia. I am unable to be a part of this vibrant community as a subscriber because I am a 70 yr old white woman. But I just want you to know that I have been watching some of your live streams as well as playbacks and think you are amazing and a terrific interviewer. I found you through your interview with Our Black Utopia as I wish to move to Portugal…….But I just don't know if I can do it now because of my age. Thank you for being such an inspiration!
Outstanding conversation …….5 Stars
An amazing discussion and interviews! Thank you all. π
Stop using βPeople of Colorβ itβs a Con.
This interview was so very beautiful! Expat life has challenges, but after almost 7 yearsβ¦I agree itβs worth it!
Nikki Banz! She is awesome! I follow her on Instagram and she has been helpful in finding black-owned businesses in Cape Town. Just left from an exploritory trip to South Africa and fell in love with Cape Town! We will be going back a couple times this year to find a home to buy! This was a great video!
Can you post these videos as audio only on audea? would really appreciate just the audio! love your stuff btw, keep pushing out content!
