Real Gundam in Tokyo



– In my first full day in Tokyo I went an event called Tokyo Green where one would be able to see this giant Robot. When I get there I find out they are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Gundam from Japanimation fame. I understand the official name for this version of Gundam was called Real G. For my first day in Japan it was a sign of great things to come for my first trip to Asia. Incredible travel experience!!! The people of Japan are awesome, you are lucky.

This is for the anime fans around the world. Would have been really cool if they threw in a life size Mazinger as well…either way it was a nice experience for this latino from El Barrio, NYC.

    Thank you seeing the Real G life size Gundam was incredible. Growing up a fan of Japanimation it was amazing to think that this would be funded or even possible. It show the support the city of Tokyo has for it's pop culture and icons.

    Now that would be really cool if they left it up. I understand it was taken down or perhaps moved. Hmm.. I've have to look it up. They made life size versions of other characters.
