Shibamata holds nostalgic atmosphere of Tokyo where you can feel the vibe of “Shitamachi.” The area was the main location for “Otoko Wa Tsuraiyo,” a renowned film series of over 48 theatrical titles (also a good example of Shitamachi). The town still attracts many tourists from all over the country. Yagiri No Watashi is the historical crossing boat service of Edogawa River, connecting Shibamata, Tokyo and Yagiri, Chiba.
柴又（しばまた）は昔の東京の雰囲気（ふんいき）がある下町（したまち）です。『男はつらいよ』という有名な映画が撮影（さつえい）されたので日本中（にほんじゅう）から観光客が訪れます（おとずれます）。『矢切の渡し』は、江戸川（えどがわ）を渡る（わたる）舟です。東京都の柴又と千葉県の矢切（やぎり）をつないでいます。
