Under the bright goldern full moon, the popular moonlight cruise is gliding peacefully over the narrow stretch of Victoria Harbour exiting from the eastern channel of Hong Kong.

The dark and relatively featureless lunar plains on the moon that can clearly be seen under the camera’s 20X zoom is called maria. Several geologic provinces containing shield volcanoes and volcanic domes are also seen on the near side maria.

On the face of it Hong Kong appears calm and serene. One could certainly feel its warmth seeping out from its core. From the not so distant, hundreds of households have their lights on, continuing their seemingly endless tasks and routines which have been carried forward from their busy day.

One can also see planes flying by regularly along the busy flight path in the brightly lit sky over Lion Rock. Imagine that in 2015 alone, 68.5 million passengers used this airport to connect over 190 destinations, through 1,100 daily flights.

No doubt Hong Kong is a nice place, particularly for its 7 million residence. I trust it will eventually get over all the issues and challenges we might have to face, as long as we remain sensible and calm and the will to improve for the better in the time to come.
