  1. Couldnt make the live stream but i love your videos. Your videos were a tremendous help for our first cruise.

  2. Oh Blow! I missed it again. I love your videos, honest and informative, thank you.

  3. We've solved airline, embarkation & debarkation issues …. go two days early and explore your departure city and stay a day later. In 2019 we were scheduled to depart from Galveston on Saturday and our flight was at 2pm ish on Friday. Houston was engulfed with storms and tornadoes and after rebooking us twice, at 5pm they finally just cancelled all flights to Houston and we were stranded. Tornados had been on top of Houston airport all day. Our luggage went to Washington DC. It was January, and in Kansas City we can expect bad weather too and while we were sitting in the airport waiting to get on a flight, it started raining, then temp dropped and it was ice and by 5pm a blizzard. 15 hour drive to Houston. I caught a shuttle, rented a van, picked up the rest of my travelling companions and off we went. Horrible weather until we got to Southern Oklahoma but arrived in Houston around 9am, luggage wasn't waiting as promised. Finally got our luggage around 11:30 and still had almost an hour to Galveston. We were beat, so tired just getting in the shop was difficult and unlike most cruises before, our rooms weren't ready. First day of cruise was horrible. Second day was still very tired. But cruise was worth it anyway. Debarkation day, we spent the night in a nice hotel in Houston, had a lovely, leisurely dinner and woke up refreshed ready for the flight home. So, lesson learned….this was first time we planned to fly in day before and sure won't do it hay again!!!

  4. Northern Cape? Q. from Dirk Reinken, where does he mean? Why didn’t he say the country? I think he means Norway, but one does not think of any “Capes” there. Strange.

  5. I missed the live chat, because it was not on at 17:00, but thats OK. I watch it later instead…
This is SOO interresting. Yes, I was also disapointed in Bruges. I heard all the hype, and I like places that still look 'autentic' as in OLD… so I loved Firenze (Florence Italy), Galaxidi in Greece and Avignon in France, but Bruge… that should have had that special feeling (for lack of a better word) but it did not do it for me. I went as a part of a tour to see the WWI (and II) places of battles in Belgium, and that part of the tour was fantastic… but Bruges was so underwelming. I thought I was the only one feeling that.

  6. Re. Question from SP, as to whether cruise lines set aside space for each country. I was a Travel Age t for 30 years, and so spoke to the cruise lines’ Reps often when they came in our office. Yes they block space for each country to sell into. Plus we could not sell space to someone from another country, they have to book in their own country. Unless the client uses an address in the country they want to book i to.

  7. Great to see Mark again. Anytime you are free please. Thanks for a very informative live stream.

  8. The question from the 40 year olds about Princess or HAL for Alaska, HAL clients are much older generally, but especially in Alaska. I live in Vancouver and one often can see 50 wheelchairs disembarking off their ships there.

  9. Sorry I missed you live—at my 11-year-old’s American football game, which went into TWO overtimes!

  10. My son-in-law is a lawyer who also deals with mergers and acquisitions too, so I know the pressure of those big deals!

  11. @Your World With Bill – Dogsled excursion took place in May for Regent, but wouldn’t be surprised if they were short of workers because of the worker shortage in general and Covid may have struck with this BA.5 variant.

  12. Ruby Princess will begin sailing from Galveston this fall into early spring. Regal Princess will sail from Galveston in late 2023 into spring 2024. We are excited about this!

  13. We have done several crossings on the QM2 from NY to Southampton. At least 3 times we have continued on to another cruise (one yr Christmas markets, twice to eastern med) on much less formal ships. We sent our formal wear home from England using the white star luggage service from QM2. DHL was the shipper. It was worth the expense not to be dragging it with us. Probably more expensive now since inflation and shipping issues, but before Covid it worked well.

  14. Great show! I do enjoy seeing Mark. It is nice to see the back and forth between you. Hope Mark will make it again soon. I am anxious to hear your views on Disney.
