  1. I like to play videos like this at 1.5 X speed to see how it would look if they could run 160 mph(ish) trains on lines like this.     Is any one else as sad as me? :p

  2. Here I go again, watching weird stuff like this, there is definitely something wrong with me… One minute cheese being cut (check it out!) , then this…

  3. The last time that I done this route as a fireman was in 1963 on a black 5 with local passenger. Sad to see a car park where shed 1E used to be at Bletchley (my shed) but surprised to see that the concrete fly-over is still there. I can remember the giant pile driver/hammer running through the night as they built it.
And I miss my fresh crusty buttered ham roll and large mug of tea in the 'Coffee Nob' outside platform 1 entrance…good days. Shed manager was Mr Todd, and my driver Tom Wright, god bless em both!

  4. Thoroughly enjoyed this video. Doing this trip next month , nice to see it from a different viewpoint. Keep up the good work

  5. At 48:19 is that a wrexham and Shropshire class 67? If not what year did wrexham and Shropshire go out of business

  6. I must admit I don't know how drivers do it. I watched this video and my eyes closed a few times. Maybe it was because I was listening to some music atthe time, but I was so relaxed. Nothing boring though I enjoyed what I saw.

  7. Excellent video and love the quality. It should have been better to show the names of the stations enroute..

  8. I have a question, and forgive me if it's a dumb one. Near the middle of the video I saw a signal indicating you were going to switch tracks to the right. Which you did. But then you went over an additional track (let's call it 3, with 1 on the left and 4 on the right). I get that British trains drive on the left, just like your cars. Or maybe your car do because the trains drove on the left. So why aren't the two left-most tracks used for the same direction?

  9. Anyone watching this can’t possibly claim that the WCML isn’t full. So many trains!

  10. Anyone know what the black dot on yellow square sign attached to the OLE portals means?
To this day I've never understood why a busy commuter station like Watford has no platform canopies.
