It’s been quite some time since I’ve been to Hawaii, and it was time for a little travel. This is part of the 9-day trip that my sister and I took to Oahu. We had a schedule that was jammed pack with things to do, and we tried to nail all of them.

The day started with an awesome brunch at Kono’s Honolulu, before making our way to Diamond Head. Disaster strikes, when we get turned away because of the amount of people at the site. Not letting that stop us from getting our hiking in for the day, I mean it is Hawaii, we head to Koko Head.

Koko Head Trail is definitely a challenge, and was surrounded with crazy beautiful scenes. Every step was worth getting to the top, even with the pops of guns going off in the background at the nearby firing range.

After the hike, to gain all the calories we lost [lol], we went for a meal at Rainbow Drive-In. The meal there was good, and because of the odd time that we went, there was no line. To finish up the meal, we took a quick stop at Waiola Shave ice.

Finishing up at Waiola, we make our way to the Hilton Waikiki Village, to get to the fireworks show over the lagoon. It was amazing, and we couldn’t believe that it happens every week.

Finally, we stop by Henry’s Place for some ice cream, get a quick dinner at Chiba-Ken, and then make our way back home exhausted.
