This is NOT a promotional video. I pay for all of my flights and hotels (and I always tell you how much!) so I can be as honest and impartial as possible. I do not receive any special treatment that wouldn’t otherwise be publicly accessible, in fact, the hotels and airlines have no idea about my visit and that’s the way I like it!

Those Ubud monkeys are shameless thieves – very shifty characters! Thanks for another great review.
Nice hotel. Love the room, simple and class. I am suprise by the price of the restaurant. They do not overcharge. For example, Bebek Goreng (expensive dish usually in Indonesia), it s the same price as some restaurants in Jakarta. I hope I will be back in Bali and stay in this hotel. Thank you for the video, cheers from France.
Still with you, enjoy the dialogue telling the backstory of each property but not as much as l enjoyed the imagined conversation with the Monkeys 😆 you have to admit the little ones are cute 😘. I would have been very happy just with the bread basket at breakfast, all those pastries looked delicious. Am l the only person that doesn't enjoy rainfall shower heads 🤔. On the prices in Bali/ SE Asia it doesn't look to bad until you add the + or ++ as noted on the Menus of this resort being 21% something l will never understand just add it in like we do with the GST in Australia (l think lve mentioned this bug bear of mine before). Once again another great review 👍
Hi Kevin, do you think this resort was taken over by Alila Group as the first Alila resort should be the one in Manggis near east Bali which is less than 10 years old.
By the way, I noticed a few Americans pronounced Ubud wrongly, it should sound like 'U Boot' not 'U Bud'.
Thanks!
So peaceful and serene, loved it, truly inspired for my next Bali trip. Aloha from Hawaii
Reminds me of my stay at Bingin Beach when I innocently left the balcony door open while I popped out for breakfast. Returned to find the room had been ransacked by monkeys. Footprints everywhere. They even managed to remove the screw top from a bottle of Jameson’s and consume the contents. Lesson learned!
Always nice to see a relatively "old" property being so well maintained/updated, especially considering the challenging environment in which it is located. I feel like resorts often fail to keep neat grounds when surrounded by such untamed nature or tend to overdo and give an artificial atmosphere to the property. Anyway, thank you for your video. Brilliant as always!
I've only recently discovered your channel on YT and I am enjoying your videos. I find your videos to be very well executed- good camera work and very well narrated. When you give a low rating, you explain the reasons why very well, thus avoiding any suspicions of it being just the typical youtuber tantrum haha. And whatever observations you give are clearly in agreement with the footage you show. However, in this particular review I am surprised that you did not seem to notice a lot of imperfections in the fit and finish of your room that was clearly shown on video. Things that surely wouldn't have escaped your attention based on the off things that you noticed in your other videos. Gaps in windows, bathtub in full view of the adjacent room's balcony, wall finish and paint imperfections, the "overgrown" jungle (trees overrun with vines), etc. But I have to say you earned a subscription from me and liked most of the videos I've watched so far, to help you with that YT algorithm. The quality of your content deserves way more subscribers and views that you currently have.
Aaaannd another exceptional review of a breathtaking resort!! Thank you!!
Hi Kevin, was there a shuttle to Ubud Town at the property?
I am finally going on my long delayed honeymoon to Bali in about 2 weeks, and we are staying at this hotel for 4 days! Awesome video. We are also flying Jetstar Asia from SIN to DPS so excited for that video too. Thanks!
Monkeys! So naughty yet so darn cute! We here are in a constant battle with a couple of troupes of Vervet Monkeys. They are so mischievous!
Mosquitoes?
Perfection. So are your reviews!
Feels like I'm watching a discovery channel travel program. Thank you so much for your time and effort.
Hi Kevin, surely seeing your hard work on the editing. Very detailed and catching glimpse at each corner as much as you can. I was thinking the video maybe too long. Around 15 mins is good to have the audience stay till the end.
Hi kevin! Nice to see the video
Btw, where did u book your reservation? You seem to get several upgrades so i was wondering. Thank you.
Love your vidios, they are well made and very informative and to the point. I have been in many places you mention however not on that level :-). You ask for a comment: Give the food a little bit more attension because in my opinion thats a big part of it all.
absolutely peaceful
Kevin what is the best recommendations for stay in ubud thks
wow, wonderful
I wish I could go there soon
How about Amed ???
had my watch – brand new Tag Hauer gift from wifey, stolen at Alila. Left it on my bed .. went swimming – returned … no watch. Yikes. They were apologetic of course – but thats it. Apart from that – nice place. caveat: That was five or six years ago. Just got one bad apple. Almost certainly fine now – like most hotels are 99% of the time.
The pool is really amazing 😍
