Kiel, the capital of the German state of Schleswig-Holstein, is an ideal place to start and end a cruise. Some 130 cruise ships stop here annually. The show is pretty impressive when the enormous ocean liners come into Kiel and dock right near the center of the city.

  1. I studied logistics in my graduation. I write about the Kiel Canal and all Federal Waterways System in Germany as an example of efficiency in the use of waterway modal. I've never been in Germany, but If I ever go to this beautiful country, I will certainly visit Kiel. Greetings from Brazil.
