Take a trip down Happy Road with us as Shizuka explores this shotengai, aka shopping road in Oyama. What started as a small collection of shops along a road built after WWII has become a large area of Showa-era shops. Many of these establishments are multigenerational, and they carry on the spirit of the Happy Road.

Shizuka is all smiles sampling delicious street food! From traditional confectionery to creative crepes, there’s something for everyone along this shopping street.

    The first one and second arai meat shop such a long standing place!!!! Thanks for showing us these places so so true so upsetting seeing these long standing places closings down I never want them to close so please open up japan!!!!!! 🙏🏼👍🏻
