This Togo sitdown looping coaster opened in 1997 as Manhattan Express. In 2007 they changed the name to Roller Coaster and now it’s known as the Big Apple Coaster.
This coaster stands 203 feet tall with a 144 foot drop and a top speed of 67 mph and is one of only three Togo coasters currently operating to feature a half-loop maneuver. Do you know what the other ones are and where they’re located?
You can also watch the nighttime on-ride POV video we posted to see what it’s like to be on this this scenic coaster when the Las Vegas Strip is all lit up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNS2hPSTDX8

  1. That transition to the inversion at 2:07 is so damn abrupt. I'm not a coasterboy but damn, that can't be right haha.

  2. Rode it first time yesterday.. wasn't even that rough but we did sit front row and not necessarily an enthusiast but do know how to ride a coaster

  3. i swear the big shot at the stratosphere is probably smoother than this and its not even a roller coaster

  4. I remember riding this. I did not like that weird dive loop inversion cause it was awkward and really tight. But. That’s TOGO for ya.

  5. Most everyone who thinks about riding this coaster while in Vegas is because they are vacationing in Vegas. DON'T. It will ruin the rest of your day. I rode this back in 2003 with a group of friends celebrating a b-day and we all got so banged up, heads and all. The roughest coaster I've ever experienced.

  6. I remember right before I wrote the big apple pie searched up this video that we are all currently watching right now and I literally do not want to go on it but my dad made me go on it anyways and honestly it is a little bit shaky but the jobs go by really fast and it’s honestly not as bad as it looks

  7. im 12 and going on this in 3 days so I wanna see what im in for. wish me luck and I also riding this at night sooooooooo…..

  8. i went on this with my dad a couple years back it was so scary i was crying after and my dad was laughing because i was so confident at the beginning (i havent been on a roller coaster since)

  9. This was my first roller coaster (2017) and the last one. I completely hated it.

  10. I rode this yesterday and, honestly, it's not bad! I was expecting some real thunderous roughness but it was fine. Not the smoothest in the world, but it didn't hurt or subtract from the experience. It's a unique and fun layout – I recommend it if you get the chance!

  11. 2:28 That is probably one of the worst elements on the big apple coaster, It just goes up really slowly over that hill and eventually goes down but this coaster is just nothing but brutal and terrible

  12. I actually bought a ticket to ride this coaster when i visit LV in May 2022. I love coasters but i havent gotten on one in years so i will see how this goes….LoL Gods Willing

  13. This ride isn't terrible at all! I went on it in 2022 and it was rlly smooth! The only part that was kind of bad was that one dive loop. It was sudden at that part.

  14. So like roller coaster tycoon here especially at the end where it kind of goes slow!

But with the stand up coaster Togo in rct you can't do heartline twists!

  15. Smooth or not, this is one of the most unique and iconic rollercoasters in existence. Hope to get to ride it someday.

  16. Considering booking this hotel for my next vacation – can anyone advise can you hear the noise of the roller coaster in the bedrooms? Does the roller coaster stop at a certain time in the evenings?

  17. I rode this 2 or 3 times, I thought it was boring. the only thing I remember is the guy in front of me had a pistol in his back pocket. 'murica.
