Hadaka Mairi is a “naked” pilgrimage done to shrines where men wear very little clothing as they visit a shrine in winter or in early spring while splashed with water in order to get stronger blessings to pray for the health and the upcoming harvests of the community. These pilgrimages have their roots in shugendo – severe Shinto and Buddhist spiritual training
Uchikuroda Hadaka Mairi is a centuries old small festival in Yotsukaido, Chiba Prefecture where a group of men (habaka bo) wearing only white boxers run back forth from the torii gate to the shrine building (Haiden) to toss straw inside to pray for good harvests.

This is SHUGENDO-LITE. No coughing, choking and spluttering in burning pepper mist hell for these guys.
What kind of a disrespecting Gaijin are you Dave, run through those hoses fully clothed with your umbrella up and shit on the Japanese lucky charm-esque religion, get yourself on national TV along with Tkyosam, insist that women be allowed to run around naked too, get a wet T shits campaign going!.
