The central of Tottori is divided into five areas: Kurayoshi City, Yurihama Town, Misasa Town, Hokuei Town, and Kotoura Town.You can feel different beautiful scenes in each area.
Kurayoshi City is the gateway to central Tottori Prefecture. It has greatly developed as a castle town since the Muromachi period. The cityscape of the White Wall Warehouse retains the remnants of those days. Nowadays, it is popular as a tourist attraction in the retro cityscape, centering on “red roof tiles” where you can experience the traditional crafts of Kurayoshi.
Yurihama Town features hot springs that spring from Lake Togo, 20th century pears that nurture the earth, and white sandy beaches that spread over the Sea of Japan.
Misasa Onsen in Misasa Town was discovered 850 years ago and boasts one of the highest radon contents in the world, and is famous for its exceptional spring quality.
At Sanbutsu-ji Temple, you can visit the National Treasure “Nageire Hall”, which is called “Japan’s most dangerous national treasure appreciation”, and put yourself in nature to create an

Hokuei Town is the birthplace of Gosho Aoyama, the author of “Detective Conan”.
“Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory” and “Conan Street” where character objects of
“Detective Conan” are lined up are recommended spots in the town.
Kotoura Town is characterized by the mysteries of nature such as “Daisen Fall”, which is selected
as one of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan, and “Giant tree”, which is over 1000 years old.
