This ultimate Georgian food tour takes us on a journey to try borano, a delicious traditional staple of the Adjara region that is similar to a cheese fondue. There are many different versions of this ultimate dish as people have tried to modernize it throughout the years. The traditional version is referred to as a Georgian cheese fondue, and is ultimately cheese smothered in melted butter, rich enough for you yet? The more modern versions have added ingredients to make it a little lighter, such as eggs, creating one that is like an egg pie.

The first restaurant that we went to on this ultimate Georgian food tour was to try the traditional cheese fondue version of borano at a local restaurant that is well known for this traditional cheese fondue dish.

We finished our food tour in Batumi at a restaurant that specializes in the delicious borano egg pie.
