【What is Yokohama Port Symbol Tower?】
Yokohama Port Symbol Tower is a white tower erected in Honmoku Wharf. The tower is 58.5 meters high and sends information and signals from the Honmoku Ship Passage Signal Station below to ensure the safe navigation of passenger and cargo ships from around the world entering and leaving the Port of Yokohama.
The symbol tower has an observation room and observation lounge with a panoramic view of the harbor, allowing visitors to observe how the port works and how the harbor looks on a daily basis. The green park around the tower is open to the public as a place for citizens to relax, and various events such as flea markets, concerts, hula dance shows, and mallet golf are held there.
