I bit ironic that indiana Beach is getting chimera
I'm stunned that no one mentioned Mt Olympus. I went back in 2012, and all of the big coasters were down. Hades, Zeus, and even the nearby Avalanche (RIP) at Timber Falls were all down. That left me with Cyclops, Pegasus, and Opa. Virtually no flats to speak of there, besides blah upcharge swing ride. The go carts are okay, but 'been there done that'; I have more of a thrill with the faster indoor go carts in my city. Despite my trip being a while ago, frequent coaster downtime is still notorious at Mt Olympus.
Back in 2014, I had to choose a small 'squeeze park' in between Hersheypark and Kennywood, and back then I easily chose Lakemont over Idlewild and DelGrosso's. Despite Lakemont not exactly being a 'scenic atmosphere' with gardens and plentiful trees etc, back then it had it's fun unique flatrides and Toboggan. Along with it's current woodies (one being the oldest in the world) the choice wasn't a hard one at all. I really regret not riding the ultra rare flat SkyDiver (because of Chance's two rider policy).
I feel like Holiday World is underwhelming. The coasters are all great but there is only 4 and the flat rides suck.
It's funny #1 and #2are now ever so connected with triple loop coaster that now at Indiana beach and now Indiana beach is ran do much better with Mr Staples ownership.
I agree with Idlewild, it's very overrated, poorly run, and it is the worst park in PA, especially because it gets huge crowds, has to make money, and it still sucks.
Six Flags, and almost every large, corporate theme park are disappointments. I don't give theme parks a penny, but the prices should be illegal! It's actually insulting, even though I don't spend money there, to charge $10 or more for a damn bottle of water, or a soda, or snack. The food? Fast food, low quality, and $20-$30. Another crime, and when I say "crime" I'm not exaggerating. There should be a law against gouging people while at a cattle farm. "Cattle farm?" Yes, you're a number carrying a wallet they want into. They don't care. If they cared they wouldn't charge $10 for water. Most of the under-paid Six Flags workers don't care and it shows. Miserable places, usually, Six Flags. Fiesta Texas is really nice & pretty, but the prices turn my stomach. I'll add Cedar Point in there, and Kings Island & most theme parks. I'm a wood coaster hobbyist. Theme parks are something I must endure to get to a wood coaster I want to ride. Downtime, ride operations, lines, really don't bother me too much. That's life. But greed and workers who don't care make me sick. I love traditional amusement parks, but I live for good wood coasters. The smallest, most deserted amusement park with hardly any rides…is the nicest place I've recently been to. ZDT's, Seguin, Texas. The owner & son, who adore enthusiasts, greet you warmly at the door & converse with you like you're their friend, employees are fantastic, prices are reasonable. PLUS, Switchback kicks ass! Go there and experience friendly humanity! Kemah, Lakeside, Lake Winnepesaukah, Arnold's Park are similar. Love em!
Idlewild looks kinda run down.
I understand why Indiana beach is on this list if you went in 2017.
Apex literally ruined Indiana beach.
La Ronde and Parque de Atracciones de Madrid are both parks I decided not to go to when visiting their respective cities in recent years (Madrid was having a historically awful heat wave). I kind of regret missing out on Abismo, but… eh, maybe it was the right call.
I can't believe INDIANNA BEACH PARK is that bad, because that is one of my Parks on my bucket list,I do hope they get their shit together.
For me, the only park that has truly left me disappointed with Six Flags Fiesta Texas. I honestly wasn’t a huge fan of it because Iron Rattler wasn’t open
I have limited time and budget I’m very selective with the parks I travel to. If it’s not at least a little better than kings island there’s no way and hell I’d waste my time and money carowinds was an exception to this because of how good Fury and copperhead strike were. I plan on going to Japan next year I’m only planning Fuji-Q and Nagashima.
😓 IB is great, come back!
That awkward moment when you said IB and la F. We’re da same. Oof.
Worlds of fun and nickelodeon universe mall of america. I visited worlds of fun on lanor dqy weekend and at one point every single major coaster broke down or had an hr plus wait. And mall of america had horrible operations they were running 1 car on a gerstlaur on a Saturday
man i just wish i was able to travel the world to go to tons of amusement parks!! 🤣I only been to a handful. my favorite park of all time of course is Cedar Point. as for the most disappointed I'd have to say Grizzly Jacks waterpark resort in Utica Illinois. which wasnt really a true amusement park per se but it used to sport a small indoor amusement park with some decent rides. I actually wanted to go for years for that reason. however when we finally went all the rides were taken out and replaces by kids birthday party stuff like bounce houses and rock walls….also the waterpark itself wasnt that big either…its was just ok for a weekend get away though i guess
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom disappoints me every time I go.
I had a very disappointing trip to hershey park in 2021. I refuse to elaborate
What Is Cedar Point Looks Like Washuzan Highland?, There Will Be Not A Lot Of People , 75% Of The Rides Will Be Down, And It Will Look Abandoned, But The Only Thing Good Is That You Will Marathon Steel Vengeance, And The Other Rides That Are Open, And Make A April Fool's Video About A Very Bad Trip To Cedar Point.
chapter i had wild
I’ve heard some really awful stuff about how Marineland treats their animals. I’m not sure how true these claims are, but I’m staying far away from this park just in case.
Hey, Canobie Coaster! These parks do need some improvements!
So there's a Brazilian themed park in Japan? Interesting.
La Ronde honestly doesn’t look that great
Edaville Family Theme Park in Carver, Massachusetts is quite perhaps the most disappointing amusement park that I have been to, sir! I saw a picture of the abandoned water coaster named Kersplash, next to the park's ICONIC railroad, in this video of yours. That has NEVER even opened yet! I last went to Edaville in October 2015 for their old Pumpkins Aglow Halloween event, which was pretty underwhelming to say the least when compared to the SCREEEMFEST at Canobie Lake Park. I really recommend that you DON'T GO there, as you are from New England after all. Cause Edaville is now a tacky children's theme park, boasting MANY flat rides that are clearly aimed to kids (adults shouldn't ride those rides without kids). And it's sadly up for sale once again, as of 2022! Thomas Land was pretty good (I'm a BIG fan of Thomas and Friends), but Dino Land wasn't due to its aging decor.
Edaville used to be an actual railroad opened up by a man named Ellis D. Atwood (died in 1950), originally running from 1947-1991. This place originally ran historic Maine 2 footers on 2 ft. narrow gauge train tracks atop levees on some GIANT cranberry bogs. Plus, it also originally featured a petting zoo, museum in the screen house, train displays and vintage carnival rides. Edaville Railroad was VERY POPULAR during their Christmas Festival of Lights event, many of the lights in which you got to see from the train, accompanied by holiday music playing through speakers on top of the old school covered coaches and caboose. By 1992, it was sadly closed due to financial issues. Most of the original equipment was trucked up to Maine for a then new railroad museum in 1993. And historic miniature buildings were destroyed too, alongside other things. Edaville has remained closed throughout most of the 90s. Luckily, in 1999, the park reopened, but it looks SO different to its predecessor. With new rides, a small lake, new miniature buildings, etc., but the old railroad was left intact. Unfortunately, by 2005, the railroad's line went from 5.5 miles to only 2.5 miles, after the soon to be former owner Jon Delli Priscolli bought out the land surrounding the gigantic lake known as Atwood Reservoir. Shortly after the deal was made, people began tearing up the old tracks for condos. And this has been the MOST tragic loss of Edaville. Part of the mainline still branches off to Mt. Urann, but it's no longer in use. I have never even went to the "old" Edaville because I was born in 1999, SEVEN years after it originally closed down. I wish I did though, as it sounded fun! 🙁
I went to la ronde this year, and everything was open (except le monstre), the park was beautiful and the only coaster running 1 train was the boomerang, I have found that they are improving that park
I've been to Idlewild three times and not once have I seen Wild Mouse operating!
I had a horrible day at movie park Germany, not just disappointed but deeply unhappy at that park, I chose to leave after just a few rides and I felt very good about that decision
Most dissapointing? Anything aimed at New York City and/or Philadelphia. Great Adventure has their rediculous locker policy of even ZIPPER POCKETS not being good enough. Coney Island ripped out much of its history to put in mass produced Zamperlas. The recent Sesame Place incident only blows up the fact that it's always been a problematic park (and it's not just the ludicrus pricetag. Ride ops stapling a man sitting behind me so his glasses in his pocket were smashed, I may not have an issue with cursing but I was shocked to see cursing being more tolerated than at Great Adventure, not opening the main attraction until 1 are some examples I can think of). Nickelodeon Universe with Sandy's Blastin Bronco's issues. I would say of these parks Luna was definately the least dissapointing because of the 2 Screamzone flats that are typically upcharges included but as someone who cares about the history I am appauled to see Zamperla clones you can find most places with names of iconic attractions they replaced like Astro Tower, Tickler, Steeplechase, just to name a few.
